THE BOTTOM LINESold out tours across Europe, an eagerly anticipated EP due for autumn release and a massive increase in online & offline presence; just a few of the achievements The Bottom Line have made in 2016. Established in 2011, The Bottom Line has made a steady footprint on the UK Pop Punk scene. Contributing a fresh sound for younger audiences and a modernised take of nostalgic Pop Punk for an older generation, The Bottom Line provide a unique offering, priding themselves on energetic live performance & a rare level of audience interaction which their fans have grown to adore. So far this year, the band have travelled across 14 countries alongside genre pioneers, Simple Plan, playing sold out shows to audiences from 800 to 4,500. As well as this, the band have toured with names such as Zebrahead, Bowling For Soup & Patent Pending to name a few. The Bottom Line has released 2 singles this year; ‘Insecure’ & ‘Playlist’ which have gained more than 25,000 views over the past 4 months. Teasing fans with new music, the band is due to release their new EP, the ‘I Still Hate You EP’ around January of 2017. Furthermore, they plan to record a new full length album in summer 2017, truly capitalising on the large European fan base they have gained this year. They are currently preparing for their EP release and having several conversations regarding European tours around the Spring ’17 period. The Bottom Line has achieved all of this off their own backs, as a completely independent act and is now seeking the opportunity to take the next step in their journey. With bands such as Good Charlotte, Sum 41, Blink 182 & Green Day making massive comebacks, it’s sure to be a huge year for the Bottom Line. --- Link: https://www.facebook.com/thebottomlineUK/ NEWDRIVE Newdrive came into existence in Summer 2008. After a couple of touch-and-go months it became soon apparent which way the four guys from Stockholm wanted to head towards. They simply strove after playing the music they always listend to and personally loved for years despite any advice about which sound is hip these days or will be the next big thing. In early 2014, the four members of Newdrive started writing & recording their debut album with producer Dino Medanhodzic (Millencolin, Adept) to step up to the next level after releasing and touring their successful first EP (“My Failure, Your Pleasure”) in 2012. Chris Barkels took this opportunity to write down his darkest & happiest memories to combine them as lyrical output with melodies translated from his inner feelings. The Band wanted to create something meaningful and special, swathed in a jauntily atmosphere. Musically, ”Closed Doors and Broken Mirrors“ a very emotional record from a band in their early chronicles with vocals to melt your girlfriend’s heart, heavy guitars and fast drums. It is the most honest work to which the band have ever put their name, both on and below its surface. It is an Art project that proceeded more like a lifetime, than the actual two years of writing. Chosen by Deryck Whibley, the band got asked to join Sum 41 on their first european Tour since many years and play a row of sold out shows with incredible good feedback. Newdrive gained an impressive strong fanbase through the last year without having an album released. These long expected 11 songs are the foundation of four musicians with a vision. A vision of a world where love inferiors hate. Despite all plans to create a larger-than-life album Punk-Rock is still a music genre that comes to life on stage. A place where Newdrive felt very much ”at home“ since day one. Directly after the release oft their debut record the Band joined Four Year Strong to play another european tour with sold out shows and incredible crowd reactions. They even landed a Hit with Gone Forever. The Song was in the iTunes Top10 Rock Charts for an entire week. This all was followed by numerous headline and festival shows as well as further support shows for bands as Yellowcard etc --- Link: https://www.facebook.com/newdriveofficial HOLLY WOULD SURRENDER Holly Would Surrender is a four piece Pop-Punk band from Hamburg/Germany. After a few changes in the line up over the years, today the band consists of Ole Baumert (vocals, guitar), Stefan Heiler (bass), Andrew Klassen (drums) and Bruno Aguilera (lead guitar). Formed in the beginning of 2010, the band started writing songs and immediately hit the road. Their pop-punk heroes Blink 182, NOFX and New Found Glory (to name a few) inspired Holly Would Surrender, which is apparent in their style, songs and performance. Holly Would Surrender's first EP 'Past Crimes – Hard Times' was released in 2010, before they ever performed live. Since then, they have shared the stage with bands such as Zebrahead, Mest, The Ataris and Patent Pending, among others. In 2013 'The Great Escape' was released by Monster Artists (in Germany, Switzerland and Austria). 2016, three years later the four piece comes up with ‘Kaleidoscope’, their second album, released by Acuity.music (digital) and White Russian Records (CD and Vinyl). They couldn’t have chosen a better album name as you can find exactly the variety of a rotating kaleidoscope in the songs. The lyrics are much darker than before, due to personal changes in Ole Baumert’s life. But the energy of melodic hymns and catchy choruses get the songs stuck in your head. Lyric support came from Joe Ragosta (Patent Pending) and vocal supporters were Tony Lovato (Mest), MC Lars and Nick Diener (The Swellers). And not to mention Dan Palmer's (Zebrahead) unforgettable guitar solo. Holly Would Surrender never cared about stereotypes and clichés. They get their inspiration from the most unexpected sources.
